nice rig Paul... hope it'll work good for you this winter... I just find it so ironic when the salter costs almost twice as much as the truck.... Something about that just dosent sound right....

Sounds like a GREAT deel if there's nothing wrong with it. Good luck with it this winter.

Nice the electric or air tarp alone is worth a few $$$. I'm gona guess and say that has a DT466 or the DTA 360 the ford 7.3 power choke engine.

VT-365 is the 6.0 iirc. The T-444E is the 7.3 stroker.

the vt365 and t444e were not even invented when that truck was built, Grassman is right, it either has a DT/A 466 or a DT/A 360

I see old city trucks go for cheap with low miles. A little older but some in really decent shape. Im sure there was nothing ever wronge with the truck its just an older truck he got a good deal on at an auction. Awsome setup though. I love the box plow. Prob would work awsome at shopping centers.

I really wanted a stainless, I had gotten a 2.3 yard stainless about 10 years ago, and it still looks new. I stand corrected we payed 12 grand, not 14 things are looking up.

Your right it is a DT466 just like my other two trucks.

It was a city truck that was very well maintained. even rust proofed every year. Just the front harness with the hydraulics, is 6 grand new. It will be used at two shopping malls, and will hold enough salt to do all my accounts in 1 run.
Will some pics with the plow hooked up, and cant wait to make some vids this winter.

How many yards is that salter? Seems like a great price for s/s.

Nice truck, loose the box and mount the salter on the rails and then it will be perfect.
