MVP+ wear bars on older MVP blades?

I get asked often if there is any way to make the new style MVP+ wear bars work on the previous MVP plow (that has the rubber piece behind the gap in the middle). I know the official answer is no, but I imagine someone out there has done it. I wondered if there is a thread I'm missing that might have pics, and/or what they had to do to make them work.
    thanks!

I have been trying to figure this out also. I saw this on ebay one day next question is if it actually can trip or not.

well that's a good pic you found. That's definitely an old unimount. I imagine they must trip, and I can see the holes they redrilled, but can't tell if they had to cut off any of the edges or modify the center pieces. Another thing to note would be that the current center pieces won't have those oblong holes anymore, so if this guy didn't have to redrill those, someone buying current parts might have to.

I want to do this also. I don't know what is up with my blade but I burn through one of those rubber center pieces every season. Tired of messing with it.
