It depends, I get 10-12 in the city and 15-19 on the highway. Before I added the lightbar, plow assembly I was getting 19-21 on the highway. I run a Banks programmer, 5" exhaust, and a Wix Air filter setup.

  3. perhaps that has something to do with poor driving jason....Ps, what tires do you use in the winter???

13 in the city, 16-17 on the highway with a dumpinsert in my pick-up. Forget about the dump, thats like 10 MPG. but it also has a rediculous box on it for leaves.

My buddy has a regular cab single rear wheel F350 with the 6.0 and he gets about 18-20. He drives like an old man, but it works out well for him.

My 04 6.0 dually got around 10 fully loaded and around 14 unloaded, this was when the truck was actually running and not in the shop. My new 6.4 gets HORRIBLE fuel milege, my truck alone is making some ********* richer every day

03 F350 SRW 3.73 rear getting 10-12 towing landscaping trailer which is about 6k. Not all to sure what I get without the trailer, I have only ran one tank without a trailer on it and it was about 12-14.5mpg.....You in the range, Ive never seen those 20+ a lot of people talk about.

Edit- Not that I beat my truck (Althought I dont kill it 2500-3000rpms isnt uncommon for me to see while getting to speed) Just wanted to let you know I have no fear of using my truck. Also a little hint towards my driving habits.

I have been driving a new ambulance for the last 2 weeks with the 6.0
It averages 13.5 --> 14.5 with maybe an hour of idling in 12 hours.
It just turned 16k on the clock.
I love this engine! I have driven Ford Diesels full time at work since the late 80's. This engine is the best so far driving wise.

Yea they can be great to drive. Almost any 6.0 can be super reliable if you remove the emissions stuff and do head gaskets and headstuds on the eariler ones (03'-05').

I think my partners get tired of hearing me say:
" I would love to have this motor in a plow truck! "
There is a huge hill we go up at least every couple of weeks.
I have taken many different motors up it in ambulances. The old Ford 351, 460, 360 and GM 350 - 454. They all hit the wall and at the hardest part they are down to 35 MPH. The Power Strokes pass that point and still spooling up and pull hard to 50 MPH +. Yeah who needs a Diesel?
    A 7.3 will go 300K + before it pop's.

Try 6 or 700k with no problem.

Yeah but our vehicles have 10 different drivers a week. Some of them beat the poor truck to death.
