Well...my opinion is, Mike, that I'm gonna wait til the last moment to hook up my plow cause last time, a few days ago when they were forcasting 1-3 inches in my part of the state, nothing happened but a few SPRINKLES!! That's ct's weathermen for you...lol

    march snow

We dig the snow dec-feb but late march is not cool for us, we have 78 acres of grass to fertilize ( each round). When you get out in march you get that jump on the season that can make life less stressful!

Well the weatherman says " a secondary low is going to form to the south and this is where the snow is supposed to come from. Pretty much every time this winter they said a low was going to form it did not. That 16- 20 inch storm where we didn't even get anything at all. What a job that must be!!!

    354 AM EST WED MAR 23 2005

...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON NY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH TONIGHT...

PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD NORTHWARD TODAY IN ADVANCE OF STRENGTHENING
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER THE CAROLINAS. THE PRECIPITATION WILL ARRIVE
BY EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...AND SHOULD BE IN THE FORM OF A MIXTURE OF
SNOW...SLEET...AND RAIN. LITTLE SNOW ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED THROUGH
    LATE AFTERNOON.

AS LOW PRESSURE INTENSIFIES TO THE SOUTHEAST OF LONG ISLAND THIS
EVENING AND TONIGHT...COLDER AIR WILL BE DRAWN INTO THE SYSTEM. THIS
WILL CHANGE ANY MIXED PRECIPITATION OVER TO ALL SNOW THIS EVENING.
THE SNOW COULD BE HEAVY AT TIMES OVERNIGHT. GREATER THAN 6 INCHES OF
SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE BY THE TIME ALL IS SAID AND DONE EARLY THURSDAY
    MORNING.

THE SNOW THAT FALLS OVERNIGHT WILL LIKELY BE THE HEAVY WET
TYPE...WHICH COULD CAUSE THE BREAKAGE OF TREE BRANCHES...WHICH IN
TURN COULD DOWN POWER LINES AND CAUSE SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES.

A SLIGHT CHANGE IN TRACK OF THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM COULD MEAN
DIFFERENT OUTCOMES IN TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS. IT IS ADVISED THAT
PERSONS IN THE WATCH AREA KEEP ABREAST TO FORECAST UPDATES TODAY.

A WINTER STORM WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS
POSSIBLE...BUT NOT IMMINENT. AT THE TIME...THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR
SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS. FUTURE DRIVING AND WALKING
CONDITIONS MAY BECOME HAZARDOUS...SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO MONITOR THE
    LATEST FORECASTS.

.a Early Spring Low Pressure System Will Gather Strength Off The

...a Winter Storm Watch Remains In Effect From Early This Evening

They are now talking up to 12" for my area, I think its safe to say that it will at the least be plowable. I just put the ballest back in, and hooked up both plows. Earlier today I was helping the landscaping company I sub for on occasion. They had put their 12 plows at the very back of their yard expecting that winter was over. They put the plows at the back and pulled out all the trailers for landscaping. Well today me and the manager had to move 12 trailers, mount 12 plows and put the trailers back where they were. We also had to reload those trucks with ballest. Thats what they get for packing up the snow equipment early, 2 and a half hours of work to get everything redy. It better snow now!

This time of year I don't believe it till I am ankle deep in snow!
Last night we had an hour of freezing rain some huge snow flakes then it was over. The weather guessers changed the forecast as this happened.
I just keep the plow handy till mothers day around this area.

I drove by Lake Erie shore {Cleveland) tonight it is still mostly ice, think Alberta Clipper + Open Lake = Lake Effect Pounding 6+ inches !
