Found this plow on craigslist. Seller lists it as a Fisher MM2 plow used on a chevy 1500.

What blade is on this? I've never seen such a short moldboard, and google searches haven't turned up anything

If this blade was indeed as short as it appeared, could an older non-minute mount blade be swapped on to the minute mount a-frame? Or are the a-frames different?

    Thanks,
    Doug

The frame looks like a mm2 7 or 7.6 LD but the blade doesnt look correct.

Pretty sure that's a normal old LD moldboard

Looks like an older Minute Mount LD. The Homesteader has a poly blade and the photo looks like the blade is steel.

Are all homesteader blades poly? Looks like it could be one, the height is right and fishers website says they make a 7' 4" version.

The Homesteader blade has always been a poly blade.

Upon further research, it does appear to be a LD blade. You can see the top of the springs in this photo, and the LD blade springs are close to the top of the blade as well. Thanks for the help guys!

See if you can get the metal deflector to add a couple inches of height, and not the snofoil.

Or just find a bigger blade if that doesn't fit your needs. With Winter Storm Nemo, we were having trouble with our 29'' tall HDs.

Anyone know if the taller blades could be swapped on to the a-frame? Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure you can't use the same A frame for a bigger blade.

That is the smaller headgear as well, so the pushplates are different from the full size plows as well
