    I've got a MM1 from my old 88 gmc K1500 5.7 that I'm planning to mount on my 98 gmc K2500 with a 6.5 diesel.

I'm planning to build a custom mount for the belt drive pump, but I'm intending to drive it with the serpentine system because of some issues with the crank in the 6.5 and sensitivity to harmonic imbalances (don't want to bolt another pulley to the crank pulley).

The question is; does it matter which direction the belt driven pump rotates in to make proper pressures?

It makes a difference in how I work it into the serpentine belt system....

The pump has to turn clock wise to work as is looking at the face of pully and holding the pump in your hand
