This past weekend, I plowed the little bit of snow we got. When I hopped out to disconnect the plow, I noticed that the power wires were smoldering. I unplugged them and the casing was so hot that a pin pulled out a bit as well as melted the insulation right behind the connector on the plow side harness.

I went out today to do a little testing, I put an ohm meter on the + and - of the pump. It read 0 ohms. Common electronics knowledge says that there is a short. Is there a common cause of a short in these motors? What should the resistance read on a good pump?

    Thanks,
    Travis
