Yeah ! The "big white" finally came. Well, maybe a "medium white". Anyway, it was good to get out and plow the snow with 1/2 inch of ice underneath!! My favorite thing. Oh, it was a wet, heavy snow too.

    But, it's $$$$$$

Now we have 30 mph wind gusts!

Hey Dave how is that BOSS working out? I was also wondering how many accounts you are working and if they overlap into lawn care? I plow all of my mowing customers and the other 50% are'nt,... yet . I see this as a double edged blade I can pick up business on both ends. The new customers I'm plowing for want estimates on lawn care for the '03 season. I was swamped to day, just kind of opened things up so the residentials could get to the store, etc. I will tidy up tomorrow when I can see what I'm doing. I have'nt heard the official yet but it snowed most of the day here. I'm going to guess that we'll be close to a foot when it stops.

i'm guessing we got 12" overall, hard telling becuse the wind gusts were 30mph.

i don't have any snow accounts yet, probably could have made a mint yesterday, but i was on the boat.

we are bidding for snow removal next year, we were a little late in the game, and wanted to learn a little on our own before we venture off on someone elses property.

overall The Boss Power-V is excellent....i just can't see why anyone would want a straight blade, this thing is tough.

i did the Casino parking lot with heavy drifts, it did great...the urethane edge squeegees' like a champ.

Send that 12" our way in Indy !! We have a big variety of reports, but 7" at my house w/ the strong winds and huge drifts.

We could go for another 12" !!:D

they say another 2-6" today. I'll believe it when I plow it.

Lucky to anyone who got to make $$ on this snow.... For Fri. we were under a winter storm advisory for 6" by the IL/WI border, all we go was light snow for and hour, and all that I got was a salty truck from the IDOT trucks going insane with their salt:(

Got 10" of powdery snow, with 1-2" ice/slush underneath. 40-45 mph gusts made for an interesting few nights. Several of my properties are in open areas and it dumped 4' drifts over much of the parking lots. Used low range to say the least.payup

Just got time to do some readin

Just finished with a 16 hour stretch in the truck. We have 12 1/2 inches on the ground in central Iowa. Started out Friday with freezing rain/sleet. Turned to wet big flaked snow around 11pm. Started plowing at 4 am Saturday with 6 inches of the wettest mess I have seen in years. Our 4 hour route took almost 16 hrs to complete.
    :D
Finished all the little cleanups today after the race.
The worse part was the 4 sidewalks, 3 foot drifts in places with ice underneath. Had to borrow the neighbor dudes 2 stage blower.
Now all thats left is the billing:D

Hey Mark, glad to hear you finally got to play, i mean plow.

Did you use the wings at all? Im curious to hear how they worked. My dad and I were talking about them (i'm going to purchase some for next season). We thought that the wings would have made it harder to plow, that they might have even bent or just gotten in the way, thanks for the input!

The pro wings worked great. Even with the heavy wet snow we got they still worked great. The only problem I had was I had to remove the left hand wing when I got hung up in my driveway after about 9 hrs plowing. It was going to get mashed against a retaining wall in my drive.
They sure make cleaning up the trail-off fast work.

Our forecast was for 6" on Fri and another 6" on Sat. Got 4" Fri thats it. Got those winds though. One customer had 4' drifts in her drive. Others didn't have enough to push. Crazy weather.

Just spent 19 straight hours plowing...ugggh. Had 8 hours the day before. Not bad for our 7" snow !!

I can't imagine the 2 feet of snow like New York and them are getting. Would be cool to experience...once! Hope they all are safe and have fun.
