I've never needed to do this before, but I got a new engine in my Chevy and the people there took the belt off my hydraulic pump which mounts from the pump, onto the engine. Since it's a different engine, they were too lazy to adjust the brackets, and so right now I'm in the middle of putting the belt on it, in the rain, at 12:40 am. Currently, I'd have to adjust the hydraulic pump back, and the top mounting thing is being a pain and is pretty rusty. It'd probably break if I mess with it, so, can I put a larger belt on instead of moving the pump back? Thanks.
