meyers vs. buyers

    I am buying a new v-box spreader any suggestions on the meyers or buyers, both are stainless 8 ft, and the prices are close the meyers is $3099.00 and the buyers is $2999.00 the meyers has a tecumseh 10 hp and the buyers a 9 hp briggs, thanxs

    Here in Nova Scotia the buyer salty dogg poly v spreader is becoming very popular. No breakdowns and no rusting of the body or the stainless steel chute.

    all things being equel, I would rather have the Briggs over the tecumseh. IMO Briggs is a far superior engine now.

    I have both the briggs and tecumseh on different sanders and I find that in the winter time the tecumseh performs better..

    It seems the only thing tecumseh got right was their winter engines.,.

    I agree for all other season equipment that the briggs is superior

    Thanks for the help, I ended up getting the meyers with the tecumseh, Rulow the meyers through a local dealer. The Buyers is on Angelos.

    Wow! those prices sound great. I was quoted today $4606. + tax for a 8' Fisher stainless w/Honda. And $3900. for the new Swenson 8' PolyHawk v-box spreader.
