I just received my Meyer BL-400 Salt spreader from Home Depot, yes they sell them, and until I get my new company truck in January, I am going to mount this hitch spreader onto my rear door of my dump truck (Ford-750 dump"

It seems it will mount nicely if I don't use the hitch plate, and bolt it higher up on the door. I would be doing this until I see what they get me next.

My question is, Does anyone see a problem with taking a hitch mount salter and mounting it up 4 feet off the ground.

Info: I only plow and salt one 12 acre trucking terminal.

    Thanks for any input.
