    Greetings to all.
I have done all the plowing, sidewalks etc. for our county agency for several years. Due to cutbacks and no money; I have even more to do!:dizzy:
I have searched web about dissolving bagged calcium chloride pellets to make my own pre-treat for all the sidewalks, and can't find a thing about it:confused:
Suggestions and help so much appreciated.

Go down to "Brine-making Plant" and see if that helps you.

Thanks for the info and replys:D
Guess i will take my hydrometer and 5 gallon bucket and try it out.
Mix a little, test a little, try some more.
    50# of Cargill @ 12.50 a bag = x amount of gallons.
    Maybe post later after experiment:eek:

thanks again and look forward to sharing and learning from this site

$12.50 for a 50# bag of salt? Makes me really appreciate getting Halite for $5.70 an 80# bag, by the pallet.

I guess I should have detailed more; that 12.50 was for Calcium Chloride pellets.
And the solution is supposed to be made from regular rock salt, which is about 3.50 per 50#
    So I'll be trying soon.
Thanks again to those that make this site possible.
