Lubricating Boss center hinge?

I'm curious as to what others are using to lubricate the center hinge where the two sides come together. Each knuckle has a hole in it, but I'm not sure if I should hit it with some penetrating oil, grease, or something else? Suggestions? What do you do?

i use white lith, or regular grease. As long as its lubed up its not going to hurt anything. Its not a bearing in a motor spinning at 2000 rpms, although that is moving a lot, but def not that much.

White lith seems to stick the best IMO

I agree. I use that the most, on everything.

Do not used a lithium based grease....Lithium based grease is made from soap. Whats happens to soap when it gets wet then dry or vise versa????

Use a petroleum based grease. Holds up in all weather conditions.

Use grease and fitting that come to a point. Try napa part # BK 7151215. You can get them almost anywhere
