i took care of 2 lowes stores through mirror this season. wasnt my first year of doing the lowes but it was the first for mirror. the contract was for less money but the zero tolerence was gone. net 30 was more like net 45-60 but i did get paid.

Do they actually dictate the contract? In other words are options open to as "net 30/X% after 30 days"

Plus interest and legal fee's I assume. Does the store manager or corporate know about this?

I'm going to give you a scenario in my past experience working for a distribution company. Lets say if company A hires or subcontracts to company B which is a broker that hires a truck company C to perform the actual service which has completed that service....Now company A pays company B which does not pay company C....Company C has legal rights to collect their money from company A. after failed attempts to collect their money from company B.

This action is common in transportation law. I do not see why it does not apply to what we do. Perhaps I may be wrong but if someone can shed some light on this situation explaining why this procedure has not been practiced?

So I assume Lowes would be held liable for lawyer fee's and interest?

My contracts read the same as far as net 30 but also a penalty percentage after 30. Credit card companies, suppliers, etc do it. Seems to have worked pretty well so far. On some accounts I offer 3/10 net 30 of invoice date.
