They have a Buyers Salt Dogg Spreader for Commercial Use for $630. Cheapest and best tailgate spreader I've purchaed and used. Simple, but its a dog. They improved the auger, motor, connections, and now it has a new control with blast and vibrate and speed settings. Perfect for the price. If you can get 3 seasons out of it, your making out great. Just buy another one for cheap again after you get your use out of it.

Like several others have said here Northern Tool and Equipment http://www.northerntool.com/, I drove up there (Milwaukee suburb) and bought a TGSUVPROA for $589, turns out everything was 10% off. The spreader is rock solid and by far the best spreader for the money. Holds 7 50# bags of salt. I have not tried running sand through it and I don't expect to. The controller is real nice and the motor is beefy. I took a drive over to Central Parts Wharehouse two nights ago to buy some cutting edges and took a look at their spreaders and prices. They were $650-$700 for that spreader, it was also a friggin madhouse in there. They had the deli counter for taking numbers and were almost two dozen deep when I got mine. Anyhow, I can't recommend the Buyers(actually it's a Salt Dogg) enough.

Angelos prices are cheaper than northern tool on everything that i have checked. My spreader is $3499 at NT, Angelos had it for $2795.

Where is this "Angelos" that you speak of? Could you link us up? That kind of pricing is worth looking into, as the winter goes on the desire to buy new toys grows.

http://www.angelos-supplies.com, they've got two locations around Detroit. I also own a SUVPRO and wouldn't run anything but bagged salt through it, and never fill it clear full.

I wouldn't try running sand through it either, but I do fill it all the way up. When the bagged salt is good there is no problems, when you get a pallet of mostly fines sand you are screwed unless you have a vibrator. Thanks for the link Bosman!

DO NOT USE CENTRAL PARTS! They have horrible customer service.

I bought a poly caster from Quality Truck Equipment.

hands down best experience so far.
