    Dave...Welcome to PS !

Your in a tough area. All the Western dealers in W'town, Buff., Roch, & Syr.
are owned by the same company.

There is a authorized Western dealer near me in Baldwinsville NY that is a indy authorized Western shop.

Cicero exit off Rt. 81 to Rt 31 west 20 miles
American truck & van acc. 315-638-1036 ask for Terry.

They did right by me. Give them a call.

You know a poly is usually costs more than steel and is heavier (usually).

I own a motel in Alex. Bay and a bar near Oswego. Where are you at?

    Keep us posted...............geo

sonjaab, i'm near Gouverneur (25min to A-Bay). yea, I see on the Western site that the poly is about 30lbs heavier. I just wanted something that didn't rust as fast. my old western seemed to flake away but I guess the new ones are a lot better. thanks for the number, I may give them a call.

Dave your pretty close to the Canadian Border. Did you call a Western dealer in Ontario ? With the diff. in the dollars maybe buying in Canada might be a good deal.

We head over the bridge a lot to Gan. and Kingston to buy stuff for our neverending remodeling projects. AND the Casino in Leeds too...20 minutes away !..........LOL.........geo

Beam Mack in Watertown is a Western dealer. Dont know if you are stuck on Western, but Gilco in Watertown has some decent pricing on Fisher and Curtis, also have some used plows there, might have a Western not sure.

lakeeffect, checked mack, same price. not definately sold on the Western, I just liked the ultramount setup, seems better than the others once the ice & snow got built up a little.
sonjaab, never tried buying across the border, the exchange isn't as good a even a yr. ago.

Sonjabb- yeah, haven't posted much lately, just lurking, but its that time of year again pumpkin:

NYDave- I would check with Gilco, if you are worried about rusting, they have 7 1/2' Fisher XBlades in stock there. Personally I am not a western Fan, have owned 1 and have owned Fishers ever since. Once you switch you wont go back. Give the Fishers a good look.

where is Gilco? I'm not against any other brand, just looked like the ultramount would be easiest and maybe less problems. I just checked the X blade on the fisher site and that is what color I would really like my truck is silver and would match better. thanks for all the info guys.

Gilco is on Rt#12 in Watertown just off 81 at Exit 47, west on Rt 12 about 1/4 mile, you will see a ton of plows out front. The XBlade is stainless so it will not rust. Think it would be worth the trip to look at the Fishers.

    There was a couple new Fishers...a V and a X blade $4000 plus each
on display at the Rochester Taconic BBQ 2 weeks ago.

Glad my Ultra cost less than $3000 installed...................

Are you guys gonna head to the Taconic BBQ in Poughkeepsie this Sat. ?

Gilco has a place in LaFargeville but moved all their plows to a brand new building just outside of Watertown. That is all they do there is plows, have 3-4 guys just doing plows and sanders. They have a huge inventory there as well.
