QUICK RUN DOWN . employee bought a company 2 months ago needs slating and snow clearing 36,094 sqft lot pretty open with plenty of room to push it to but i have no idea how guys here price. do not want to undercut the industry or leave a lot on the table but do not want to look unprofessional by being way to high. this job has me offering a management bid for the landscape, lawn and snow so want to nail this one. if i get the job i will purchase a plow and tailgate spreader. i had a sales rep tell me he applies salt and 50# per 8000 which is 6.75 per 1000, that seemed low to me. i'm thinking may be 350 per push and salt with 2" inch triggers and figure some sort of way to say i will make it cheaper if i can anti - ice

If its easy as you say...1 hour push @ your hourly rate and what you want to charge for 600 lbs. of salt utilized.

thanks alot for the responces. there is 120 ft of side walk to deal with. yes that 350 includes salting and the sidewalks.
i think it is easy to clear because it is up aginst woods on 2 sides gonna try and get a google earth pic up. also we do not have many events here. maybe 4 events. but probably 12 iceing events. so i expect to charge more than you guys who plow all winter. 5 more years we will go from zone 6 to 9 lololol.

PLOWTIME where did you get the 600# number from?

I CHARGE $40 PER MAN HOUR i'm thinking 2 man crew so 80 for plow, 80 for sidewalk and $108 for salt $ 268 per push and salt. may sound dumb but you get the pushing done first then salt?
