Latest addition - brand new Western MVP-Plus 8.5' vee plow mounted on my 2012 GMC 3500HD mason dump. The truck's primarily going to be a backup for my two pickups (we do all driveways), but likely do some lots next winter as well.

Now all we need is some SNOW!

If the dump is for backup why wouldn't you have put a Fisher mount on it and use one of the existing Fisher plows you have when needed?

    BTW, Nice set up

Good question- all my Fishers are the old style MMII's without the fleet flex wiring- so there wouldn't really be a way to have plow interchangeability between the older plows and the newer truck wiring- the dealer support locally is much better for the Westerns (dealer literally next door to my yard), and for the price, I couldn't pass this one up. I really want to try out a V, figured no better time than the present.

Likely will be putting Western's on trucks in the future as we add more to the fleet…

    Thanks!

Fair enough.... You'll hate going back to a straight blade after running the V, they're awesome.

David is right. After plowing with the V you WILL want all new plows.

I was on the fence but opted to go with the 8'6" because the driveways we plow are tight- width wise some are only 8' wide curb to curb so a 9'6" fully angled would still be too wide- a friend of mine runs 8.5's on his Mason dumps and they seem to do fine

You've never plowed with a Vee before?

    You're slower than BUFF.

Not many guys around here run V's for some reason- almost the same price as a straight so what the hell, why not? Now we just need some snow that's plowable! :help::(
