Can someone tell me what is the largest tire that will fit without rubbing at full turn on the stock aluminum rim of the 2003 and up Dodge 2500. I have heard 305/70/17, but wanted to make sure before making an $900 purchase.

Technically you are not supposed to put anything wider than a 285 on a stock rim. I think you could smush a 305 in the wheel wells, but you might have trouble finding a tire place to do it. Just something to consider.

I ran 35s on my truck with no lift for awhile and it only rubbed the control arms at full lock. Added a set of Daystar's and problem solved. Have had these tires on the stock wheels with no problems.

How was the tread wear with the 35s? I have seen 33s on stock rims, but not 35s. Just curious.

Correction: I guy over on Lawnsite has 35s on stock wheels with just a 2" leveling kit with a Cummins.

I just put a set of 315/70/17's on my 04 Dodge ram 3500(non-dually)
    They look Fantasic !!!!
I bought a set of BFG ALL-TERRAIN KO'S. I was told that they may not be that good in the snow. NOT TRUE ! they are Fantastic!!
Never thought I would think so much of a tire. I plow with a Blizzard 8/10.
    No problems at all.
Get a tiny bit of rub at full lock, but not much.
All in all,I am very pleased.tymusic

35s should work out great for you and if they rub a little bit you can always throw in a 2" spacer
