i do 90% gravel.sand driveways and i use shoes set up pretty high for the uneven. as soon as i hit the snow thats kinda hard and or packed ice. it trips bad and digs in and jumps bad, its a Fisher speedcast from around 1980 and i think the springs are shot???? gives really easy even pushing hard pile of snow... any ideas?

Are all the springs intact? I've broken a couple off of my old Speedcasts before and had that problem which is no real surpise. Probably need to replace at least a couple of the springs.

they are all there. just seems its tripping really easy without really "hitting" anything. i was watching it as my got in and moved some snow to see whats going on...
