I couldnt imagine plowing in an excursion. None the less how do you like the power of the v10?

How do you like plowing with the excursion? I am thinking about getting a suburban 2500 to plow with. I don't think the wheelbase is any longer than an extended cab truck.

I can tell you that its the same size or length as my extended cab f150 shortbed. only cause i have a 2500 suburban sitting in the drive next to my truck

Looks like the excursion has HIDs from that photo.

So my dad has the exact same excursion 2001 limited and I have always thought it would be a good truck to start my business with because I could get it for next to nothing from him, questions.
    How was it held up?
How long have you plowed with it?
Trany issues? (His seems to shift fine just slowly)
I am used to plowing with a 1ton F550 with dump body so I can only assume visibility would be an improvement from that.

Not sure what you mean by how its held up?? Do you mean the plow? It's the same plow frame as the f250.
If you mean how has the truck held up, its still going strong.
Like any tranny, if you treat it well, it will treat you well.
I've plowed with it for 4 years now.
Visibility is way better than plowing in a truck with a cap on it. Will be much better than the dump bed u have now

It plows great. It does have the v10 and it has 4:30 gears it it, plus its heavy, so it takes A LOT of snow to stop it
