Just bought a Volvo L70

    I got a good deal on a L70 so I couldnt refuse. This is my first loader. Im looking for a 12 foot pusher. I need some help as to what to get.

    This is straight L70. An early model. It doesn't have the same HP (118hp) as the newer ones. This wound never push a 16' box.

    Put a 12' Boss pusher on it. Good price and steel trip edge.

    just under 22,000 lbs. I havent brought it to the local aggregate supply to have it weighed. This weight is what I was able to find out online.

    BTW I'm not sure if that weight includes a bucket.

    12ft boss! Will be able to handle it even in heavy, wet storms.

    I did alot of searching and the BX12 has some good ratings

    We have 3 Volvo L90 and they push 16 feet no problem. The L70 is very close to the 90. It will handle a 12 with ease, a 14 should work well also.

    I'd go with a 14'. In the real nasty snows just take a 2/3's cut. You will be thankful to have the 14' on the majority of the snows

    I was thinking about a 14' too. Just concerned about the machine being old and lost some HP. But the "2/3" sounds good.

    hours?

    how many hours on the l 70? i have an l180 with 11,700 and hasnt slowed down a bit.
