joystick ?

    bought a western plow hooked it up. installed all new wires for power and ground. and new selinoid will not work unless i run two wires into the cab to press together to make the joy stick work . What could be wrong. good continuity from cables to end of wire to selinoid. please help pain pressing wires together to work joystick. It is older model plow.

    Is this a cable operated pump or electric harness? One thing to check is the black/orange wire at the battery should be to ground fi its electric.

    It is cable . even put on new cables on it.

    You should have 1 wire coming from the controller , this will go to one of the small terminals on the solenoid, on the other small terminal you need to jump a wire up to the large terminal where you have power coming in to the solenoid. If the base of the sokenoid is not mounted to metal, you also need to run a wire from the base of the solenoid back to ground at the battery.
