    if anyone needs proof that you shouldn't use a halfton to plow with, here it is, (if you doubt it is a half ton, count the lug nuts on the wheels)

    i have a friend who has a 2500 plow truck with 6 bolt wheels. so that really doesnt prove it. I blame Chebby Frames

    drew if it is a 6 lug 2500 than it is non HD (considered a "heavy" half ton) a true 3/4 ton truck will have 8 lugs

    I don't see what the problem is! Just bungee the body to the running board, load a skid of salt in the bed and you'll get another 2 seasons out of it!!!!LOL

    The problem is obviously the fact he needed much stronger running boards bolted up properly.

    Its not just 1/2 tons.I had it happen on a 1 ton dually. But that was a Chev too... maybe thats the problem ;)
