I just put deposit / order for a 8.2 SS DXT. Planning on running it one one of my 2 Diesel Ford Excursions (with X , and modded b code springs) I was surprised when the dealer told me the Next Gen Electrical System was not available yet?? I saw it advertised in last year and this years brochures. Also saw a few older threads making it seem like it is available. does any one have the order code for it? or A Boss Tech # to get more CORRECT info?
Does any dealer in Northeast have a 8.2 SS DXT Next Gen Electrical one on the lot? Good Price? etc.. if so i am willing to travel to pick up as I plan on self install.
    Much appreciation!,
    Thanks,
    Deo

You are talking about the wireless setup correct?

Sure looks like you can get them with the NGE. I looked in to getting it for older plows and was told it will not work. But I think with moving a few parts it would work.

The wireless is very available now . We've already installed several lately ,and I feel like most our customers are starting to prefer them, now that they have the choice. And Maxwellp, as you know BOSS says the NGE system are for 2011 or 2012 and new plows I believe. But we were able to install them on a couple older plows, just as you thought . The new plows come already machined with the proper mounting holes and clearance for the NGE setup. On the older plows , I used a newer plow as a template and drilled all the proper holes needed. I had to weld up the hole where the wiring came through and punch a new hole in the location of the newer plow design. (they are a little lower).Mounted the solenoid under the smart switch on the inside.(It couldn't be mounted above the plow motor because the older plows hoses are in the way) I had to solder the headlight wiring to the older plow lights and signals. But we did a nice clean job of it . There are a couple wires different but with the older and newer wiring schematics , it isn't hard to figure out . In the end the plow, lights, signals and smart switch all worked just as it should . Hope this all helps answer any questions .

    Great!, Thanks for the responses.
I found another dealer that was familiar and had installed a few Next Gen wireless systems. This dealer was also $1000 Dollars cheaper. I'm gonna do the install myself also. Bumping up to the 9.2 DXT also.
    Thanks,
    Deo

Thanks - I was sure it could be done. I was thinking just like you said, move a few things and some rewiring. Did it come with a nice wiring diagram?

Yes, It comes with the installation manual, that has a couple pages of detailed wiring diagrams. Easy to figure out. Good luck guys, I feel like your going to really like this setup.

I also wanted to add what we did for one of the older plow installs. Instead of cutting and soldering in the headlights and signals. The customer chose to purchase a new lightbar and a set of the newer headlights. After that it was just a plug in and go on the headlight install. It also gave his plow that new plow design look, which made him really happy.
