    is it a c10 or c20
i have what the tittle says is a 1976 c20, the problem i am having is that the suspension parts all point to it being a c10.
I want to purchase 3 inch drop spindles and every one i find say that c20s are 6 lug and c10s are five, i have five and from the looks of it i have the rods that connect the control arms that came on the c10s(the ones you cant grease)i was told they did make c20s with the five lugs but not sure, the truck is totaly stripped apart for restoration, i have the restoration pack from chevy but that is no help any suggestions.
    I currently own

    2001 chevy silverado
    2000 chevy s-10
1991 chevy s-10 bagged and scrappin
    1976 c10-c20?

    thanks in advance

Sounds like a C10 to me. I'm pretty sure all 3/4 tons of that time came with 8 lugs, and 6 weren't available until the redesign in 1988. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Your right on the 8 Lug rims. Those were introduced with the redesigned 88 C/K 3/4 ton trucks. However, GM got smart and reintroduced the 8 lug on the new C/K trucks. It sounds to me that the title has the wrong information. Big Suprise...

    You have a c-10, all 2wd 1/2 ton GM trucks from 73-87 have 5 lug rims,all 4 wd 1/2 ton trucks 73-87 have 6 lug rims the C-20/ K-20 c-30 K-30 all have 8 lugs.
After 88 things changed a bit, but that doesnt apply in this case.

    You have a C10 (1/2 ton)

Keep in mind that the drop spindle info you're looking at probably pertains to the '88 and up (I call 'em "jellybean" ;) ) style trucks, where as Dino points out things DID change.
