I have a plow for my truck and a backhoe with a pusher. I want to hire someone to run my backhoe. I sub for a landscape company, I know I'll need liability, but I don't want to deal with workers comp and unemployment, etc. Is that do-able, or am I dickered? Me thinks those things would kill any potential profit I would make by running two units. What is the cost associated with all this? I am in Lansing, MI if that matters

Thanks from a newbie, I really do appreciate any help I can get! Thumbs Up

Don't matter what you run,you need the insurance. As for your helper ,check with your insurance company or state about seasonal/casual employment.
