I just installed timbrens on my 09 2500. I thought there should be a gap unless there was a load on the front end so the truck wasn't riding on them all the time. After I set the truck down they were touching and makes for a stiff ride. Is this the way it should be?

you should be good to go........

mine hit a little less than that but still touch

my guess is that the t bar can be adjusted if you want it up higher.

Okay thanks. Just wanted to make sure I installed them properly.
I already have 4-5 turns on the t bars so I think thats the max I should go.

Hopefully I'll have a reason to hook up the plow and see how they work!

Another twist on the T-bars will probably smooth your ride a bit.

I plowed with the timbrens on for the first time today. What a big difference, the truck only drops a 1/2'' when I raise the plow, before it dropped 1 1/2''. My truck just seems to carry the plow alot better now. Also the lot that I do is lined with curbing all the way around and my backdragger always would catch it after I pushed the snow over and was backing up, the plow didn't catch the curb once today.

Wish I had put them on sooner.

How do you like the bilstien 5100s? I just got mine in the mail yesterday. Can you tell a difference in the ride? How long did it take you put them on. Thanks Aaron

The bilstiens definately make for a better ride. They are also longer so I could put a few turns on the t-bars without maxing them out. The install took about an hour and was easy.
