I got my plow out of it's summer spot for the winter yesterday. I figured I should pull the motor and inspect everything. I have the old school SEHP pump. Here is what I found:

    - a loose bolt holding down the motor
    - some water in the fluid making that brown sludgy stuff
    - loose u-bolts that hold the lift chain to the a-frame

I welded a 5/16's nut to the drain plug after I got it out with vice grips. The allen wrench part of the plug was junk.

Then I cleaned all connections with an air abrasive wheel and electric greased them.

Even though most, if not all of you know this, I still felt like sharing.
