I just got a quote of $5260 for a Steel Boss 8'2" V with smartlocks installed on my F-250. Sound to you guys like a good deal?

Yes it is. Cheaper if you get rid of the smart locks.

I wouldn't get rid of the smart locks. They are $600 if you want to add them later. What about a snow deflector.

That's because Canadians don't know how to plow with out them.

You don't get any snow on the south side of the pond. You could use one of the wal-mart plows.

That;s why she'll get mad if you buy smart locks, you'll be taking money out of her pocket.

Yes it is cheaper if you don't buy them. But think about all the time and money you will save if you had them.

I agree. I don't have them, and I do plenty of back dragging. You can still back drag without them, but it is much easier and faster with them.
Spend the money now, you wont be sorry.

I guess that's why I plow forward,it goes faster then back dragging so no need for smart locks;)

The price was with the Smartlocks. It was $260 less if I didn't want them. I do ALOT of backdragging and they seem worth the money to me. I forgot to request a deflector but will definately get one
Gonna get rid of my Sno-Way and Boss was an easy choice.
    Thanks guys.

Where are you at in Iowa? I have a verbal commitment on a 8'2" poly XT with smart locks installed for $5375 plus tax. They are to call me in about a week after they get the plow set up.

I am in Clear Lake. The dealer I got the price from was in Minn.
The XT was a little bit higher.
Did your quote include the deflector Jim?
    I have relatives in Geneseo.

For $260 now i would definitely get them. They will help ALOT with back dragging. Yes make sure you get the deflector also. You made a good choice. Post some pictures when you get the new blade.
