HEY ALL..................I just installed the program yesterday!

Set up for 93 prem. fuel, firm shift, higher shift rpm.....5500
(top of the power band) WOT throttle..............5900 rpm
    cut off.....In case something breaks!
All other programs are set to factory........

    100 miles............What a ROCKET compared to stock !
NICE burnout.........Squeeks em' at WOT 1-2 shift................
Mid range a bit weaker tho...................

Will have my fun for a bit.... then set program to 87 octane "grunt"
tune if I need to plow or tow and use cheap 87 fuel..........

Looking for a few more MPGs mostly and the "giddy-up" is a bonus
    for $329 bucks!!!! ...............geo

    GUYS.................SIMPLE hand held unit.
Just plug into underdash GM OBD 2 plug. Follow simple instructions
    and promps from handheld.

BOOM! Yer done!............Set of pants feel is fun!

For NOW at least......................Then will try the "grunt" tune for
    work, mpg, and fuel mileage.............................

    Did a 100 mile round trip today................21 mpg.....71 mph
cruise on a/c defrost too............Last trip before programmer 17 mpg.

They are sold for many brand vehicles !..........My 97 350 had a
Hypertech "piggy back" tuner and SCREAMED !

Yeah, but thats on the freeway doing 71mph.

Now if he said he got 21mpg while driving in the city, I would have major shock. LOL.

but 21 on the freeway is still helllllla good. My ford was lucky to get 12 on the freeway and 8 in the city sometimes.

I cruse at 70 to 75 MPH and the best I got on the highway was 17MPG. If I could get 15MPG in the city I'll take it :yow!:

sonjaab if you do some city driving I would like to know what you get for MPG!!!

    Hypertech.

    Hey SONJAAB -

Actually I'm about 10 minutes from K-O-P right now at work! I live up in Allentown and work here in Plymouth Meeting!

I might be out in Western PA that weekend but if not I might swing down to see what some good bowtie HP can do!

Is the next stop for that 6.0 a Whipplecharger???? :yow!:

    BRAD..............Yup 4:10s................

My only issue with the Hypertech is it does NOT turn off the
Torque Mgt. on GMs as I thought it did................

The Preditor Diablo is also a hand held unit and it DOES turn off
and/or modify GMs torque mgmt. program settings.
Costs more.....But that one IS the ticket !

For me...... the Hypertech is fine this time around and the added
4 mpg. is a big plus not to mention the go-go improvement !....geo

I have the same truck as you but an 03, I think I might just need to get me one of those. Would you have a specific part # so I could be sure in what I need to order. Adding 4 miles to the gallon is just amazing to me. Our truck is a daily driver on the highway mainly, and pulling boats and horse trailers on the weekends.

    BRAD.................Got mine from http://www.tsetruckstuff.com

They sell a few different brands too.

I think if that "torque mgt." in a GM concerns you go with the
Preditor Diablo controller instead.............They were like $390
    bucks...................geo

FROZEN...........Been having too much FUN whipping on it to check
regular mpgs !!!!!!!!! Only that 1 hiway trip so far......

Will post city #s soon......................

Best cure for torque management problems is having a clutch pedal just to the left of the brake pedal !!!
