Is anyone familiar with a Hydraulically driven salt spreader Hy-Way E2020 this was purchased by a friend and I am looking into freeing this spreader up. I have no movement in the chain what so ever. I am just looking for some pointers. Or some helpful hints.

    Hi-Way is correct spelling.

    Pintle or roller chain?
If it's roller might as well cut it out and start fresh. Roller style really should have an oiler system on it to drip oil on the links and roller pretty regularly. Oh, you could take it out but better figure on putting it in a big container of oil for a year or 2 depending on how bad it is rusted.

Pintle style, it may free up IF you can get it to turn. If it too is solid see above message.

Roller is the most expensive of the 2.
