I just installed two new trip springs and new bolts on my Meyer St-90.
How much tension should the springs have?
I "think" I heard to tighten the nuts until the springs "just begin to spread" then stop. Is that about right?

Thats how I set mine. If you don't set enough spring pressure it will trip all the time. If you only have a 2 spring set-up you should think about adding a third spring. I remember a thread last year about how to do it. All four of mine are three spring set-ups.
