Anyone familiar enough with an 02 ford to know what i can tap into in order to get an electrical signal when I am in drive or reverse?

    Thanks

Itl be easy. all i need is to find a wire that goes hot when it goes into reverse and drive.

    Let's not over-complicate this.

Yea. itl only lift for 3 seconds when you put it into reverse. then it turns off. just as if you hit the button yourself. but if you are doing driveways or something, you just hit the off switch to turn off the auto up down functions.

stop right now. do not try to do this. it is well beyond your skill set. you will be wasting time, money, and effort. in the end it will not work properly, will be a safety hazard for you and others, and you will likely damage other functions of the truck/plow in the process. again, abandon this idea immediately.

not like you'd ever follow advice anyway, so yeah - go ahead and do it.

please document all the work you do with pictures and videos. could you please keep us all updated on the progress? when do you expect to have this project completed?

Mine goes up in 2 seconds. Although I should make it adjustable. Getting an electric pump for my dodge. It might not go up so quick

Will do it when my cousin is available to help design it

nice - bringing in the heavy artillery. is he a first cousin? i'd like to get an idea as to how closely your DNA resembles his.

when documenting this project, please also include pictures of both yourself and your cousin. thanks. looking forward to the updates.

Great idea! Spend time money and effort on something that you don't actually need that will just make your setup more complicated and prone to failure! Brilliant!Thumbs Up
