How much rock salt would be needed for a 10,000 sq. ft. lot
amount in bulk or 50lbs bags. Thanks

It depends on what the temps are and what you need the salt to do. After plowing it would take between 100 and 200 pounds depending on how cold it is. The lower the temp, the more salt you will need to use to get the same results. If you are trying to melt ice after freezing rain or an ice storm, you may have to use 400 pounds to melt it down.

We use closer to 20# per thousand. A 10,000 sq. ft. lot would use approx. 4 50# bags.
