So how many miles do you put on total in one storm, just an average storm?

I personally put nearly 120 miles on per storm between any running I need to do and one site I have 20 miles away. How about you guys?

80 miles across 50 residentials all within a 2 miles radius of one another. 10 miles from my house to the start of the route, and then 10 miles back home at the end of the route. so really 60 miles just during the actual route.

Never checked. But my entire route takes 17 to 20 hours depending on the snow.
Last 2 entire routes used $120 of gas each time.

I'm around 75 miles in 6 hours. All my accounts are pretty close to me and each other.

How do you manage that if keeps snowing? And where do you find customers that will wait up to 20 hours to get plowed out?

    37 accounts.

    3 commercials get priority.

8 full time residents get done next.

The rest are weekend residents- second homes.

Weekend storms are hectic, because some weekender customers are up. They call if they need to get out. I plowed 18 yesterday, along with 2 new calls for emergency plows. And my own driveway.
19 weekender drives to do today. No one home, no cars, easy-peasy.

I have 10 drives where the owners are gone until mid april. These always get done last when I am pressed for time.

Yes. I may buy another truck and put my logging employee and good friend in it if I keep adding accounts...and it seems like they will keep coming. He would like that, and it would take some heat off me. I am at the limit for the one truck.

Pretty sure I added 3 accounts yesterday alone..

^ I am also at my limit for one truck. It's just hard to make the jump to a 2nd truck and plow. I may go with a skid instead of another truck.

Mines the same, yesterday was about 14 hours and about 180 miles with everything. I have one commercial that explicitly doesn't want me there during the day between 6am-6pm. I hit them first, then open up about 8-10 resi that need to get out, start the summer homes. Then go back and do the resi while theyre at work, and try to finish the summer homes. My route would make people crazy here im sure.
