how high up should the bottom of the mount be on a uni-mount?

my dodge was only up 7 1/4" wondering if i could raise it up to be 10 or 11 for more ground clearance and not hurt the plow.

9 1/2" to 10 1/2" is the target height with the plow attached and on the ground.

I would too. It will certainly help with ground clearance not to mention better cutting edge wear.
