How hard is it to change the seal on top of the pump on a Meyers E47?
What exactly do I have to do?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Why do you need to replace the seal??? It is only a weather protector, not pressure.

As far as changing it can be done by completely cleaning the top of the ram, including and burrs or rust. Remove the 3 nuts holding the cap, tap off using a drift, and slide cap up while pushing down on the ram. replace seal, replace gasket where cap mates to reservoir. If ram assembly moved from bottom (which it usually does), make sure seal at bottom of ram assembly is in place. replace nuts with new plastic weather seals and tighten... :dizzy:

There is fluid leaking out of the top.
Not much but enough to worry me. I am more concerned with water getting in and then freezing. Thanks for the advice . :waving:
