what kind of Western you have and is there a way to tell the model number? I have an older conventional mount that someone told me that it looked to be a mid-seventies model? Is there a way to verify this?

Go to westerns site and look under publications for conventional plows. They list parts and installation, find the plow that looks close to what you have and if your lucky, there is a date that the last changes to that version blade were made in the upper right corner. that will get you an idea of how old it could be and what model/version it is.
