Just bought Western Unimount Pump/blade/frame at auction & want to test pump to see if it works before using it to replace the tired one on my existing setup. Can I just use battery charger attached to posts on motor to test it before installing it , or will I do any damage?

you can test the motor that way, but the battery charger might not be strong enough to test it.... better off using jumper cables from your battery.... However, it wont make the plow move, it will just tell you if the motor works.... Know anyone near you with a uni? they could hook it up to test it.
