    Hi everyone;

    I am used to the old plows where there is a safety chain for transport. How come the new Fisher Minute Mounts don't have this?

    Thanks for your replies.

    There should be a safety cable!
    I think they used to use a chain now it is just a cable.

    If i can remember past discussions with fischer, they found that first of all, nobody really used the safety chain for transport, and with what is basically a dual chain that the chain doesnt break under normal use, and if one side does break you still have the other side to short cahin with if needed.

    The cable assy that you see on the new plows is basically a aide to help in the removal of the plow. There is a spring at the a-frame that pulls the lift frame assy down to take tension off the cahin and headgear assy.
