Is this a new model Chev brought out.

I would say a 9'2" would be perfect. Timbrens in the front and crank up the torsion bars a few turns. Either that or get an 8'2" and put wings on it.

Simple, the biggest one made.............unless you have some tight areas to plow where 1' makes a difference. I am VERY glad I dropped the extra few hundred dollars for my 9.5'V.

You and your silly technical questions. If it fits, it will work, right?

Not unless someone swapped it in.

9.2 if you're not planning to run wings, or an 8.2 (or 9.2) with wings.

Easy fella. The 6.0 didn't come with an Alison from the factory. Might be part of the reason it's a "killer price".

The stock transmission, the 4L80, is a great trans. Just remember to use a [1] - [R] - [1] shift pattern when plowing. Learn from the mistakes of others (me).

Could be the seller "thought" he had an allison and the OP just is repeating what he was told.

i have a friend with an 2004 duramax crew cab short bed and runs an 8'2" v-xt and all he did was put about 400lbs in the bed and had at it the plow is perfectly matched for that truck

better watch it, without the snow plow prep, even the 8'2" will be pushing the weight limit of front axle. I have an 03 ext cab with the prep pkg. it was the warranty thing i was worried about when i bought it new. isnt new any more!
