How big is #1 Salt? I have lesco rock salt and wanted to know if it would work in a buyers suv type tailgate spreader.

Yes. Any bagged salt will work in a tailgate type spreader (with the exception of "water softener salt). As long as the bagged salt is dry, and hasn't been wet to where it clumps up, because then it will bridge up. When the problem comes, is when people try to run bulk saly through these spreaders. This always leads to trouble. The only way this works, is with the two stage spreaders such as the Western Pro-flow II.
