Hiniker Fluid.

    What's the deal with this stuff..

    Went to the dealer to pick some up..He was out of the quarts and only had 5 gallon jugs of the stuff...I said no thanks...

    Anyways he said...Just go get some Dextron 3 ATF...It's exactly the same fluid in this here jug just labeled Hiniker...

    I said...I heard this last season as well from here but asked other people and they were like absolutely not...

    So I'd thought maybe someone could fill me in on this one.

    By the way...I have no problem using atf.

    I went to my dealer to get some last yr, and the stuff he gave was not hiniker's brand. Dont remember what brand it was though....

    Use any low temp hydralic oil. It can be from anothe plow manufacturer or generic. ATF will work but you may have problems in extremly cold temps with slow hydraulics or freezing up alotgether.

    wasn't asking for advice on fluid choice..

    was just trying to confirm if hini fluid is just plain old dex3atf

    Yes, my Hiniker dealer preps all plows with DEX3 from local O'Reilly Auto.

    I use power steering fluid..:waving: But i think the system needs a flush
