Help with 79 blazer

    My sons 79 blazer 400 small block when plow is off truck it will run all day long, But with plow on and when plowing about 10 mins. truck shuts off and about 20-30 mins later you can restart it. It is not running hot. It has new bat, carb, thermo stat. I will be putting in a 2nd bat next week. ANY IDEAS?:cry: :cry: :cry:

    The second battery will help, but it may be your alternator is a little too old or too low amps to work with the plow. Maybe upgrade to a 100 amp or more.

    Make sure your ground cable for the plow is clean, tight and connected directly to the battery.If it is on the engine or frame, move it to the battery.
