    hi,
I hooked up my mvp 3 plug/4iso to my truck. I have power to the controller but the plow motor wants to stay running and the plow is stuck all the way up. also the head lights kick off the truck but don't go to the plow.
I can only stop the motor from running when I unplug the power/ground plug

ok, it worked fine when it was on the other truck last year, and I kept it inside all summer, could the red power wire be hooked into the wrong power source in the cab?

Need more info, did you just do an install, or this worked last year, and not this year.

we took it off an old truck last year and put onto a newer one same brand and model , just different truck. it was working fine on the other truck at the end of the winter, stored all the cables in the garage .

as soon as a turned the key on the motor started to run none stop. then when I turned the controller on the plow went up and motor keeps on running. all the wires for the controller are hooked up properly.

OK, lets ask the same question in a different way.

Did this plow ever work on this truck?

Or is this a fresh install?

OK, this change mind set. Double check the small wires going to solenoid. Check against western wiring diagram

mine as 3 nuts off the solenoid, 2 on the sides and one in middle.
I have it RED alone (long red) , RED (short) and red and green, brown/red and brown and green in the middle on the smaller post

Remove the small wire and check to see if the motor still runs

Post a picture of your solenoid, the three wires doesn't sound correct.

Hey olddog, he has the wrong solenoid, I got the wiring diagram from the western site on my desktop, but I do not know how to get it here.

I can not get the file to load. OP, that is the wrong solenoid, you need a four wire solenoid. Go to the western site, publications, mechanics guides, find your plow and look at the wiring.

I thought it was wrong but that's the one it had with the old truck when I got it and it worked fine , we used all the same stuff that came off the old truck

    I should look at •Mechanic's Guide - MVP™ w/Isolation Module System ?

Then it wasen't mounted on metal and there was a harness wired to its base. Just get the correct part. Probably under 20.00 bucks. Look up, print out the correct wiring diagram, you will be fine. :waving:
