Hey folks, I did a search and couldn't find a answer to my question so here goes.....Looking to buy a outfit for my truck, Chevy 02' 2500 HD Duramax Crew Cab short bed. Need to find a local snowplow dealer in the Raleigh, NC area to fix me up. We don't normally get a lot of snow but here lately we have. I have a Lawn Maintenance business and I want to offer snow removal to my commercial accounts but I don't know who or where to start around here. Also it would make for extra money in the off season for me in the event we get another large snowfall. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It depends on what plow brand(s) you local dealer carry. For me, I prefer Fisher. According to their website, there is only one dealer In NC. Here is the dealer:

    BRUDER/SHARPE INC
    6193 US 220 N Bypass PO Box 1034
    Madison, NC 27025-1034
    336-548-5000

According to their kit selection guide, the only plow they will allow on your truck would be Fisher RD 7.5' plow. I would think that will be fine since you are in NC region. Your region don't see as much snow as most of us do, because in snowy regions, we usually would run a minimum of 8' blade on our truck similar to your.

Another good plow brand is Western. I did a search on Western website and found a couple dealers in NC region. Here are the dealers:

    Fayetteville
    DIXIE UPFITTING
    416 Glidden Street
    Fayetteville, NC 28301
    Phone:910-484-0558

    Jonas Ridge
    MOUNTAINEER EQUIPMENT CO., INC.
    8375 N.C. Hwy. 181
    Jonas Ridge, NC 28641
    Phone:828-733-2583
    mtneereq@skybest.com

I tried to use the Western "Quick Match" for which plow(s) that could be mounted on your truck, but for some reason, their pop-up screen is too small, not fully expandable. The screen won't let me adjust their screen size so I could not see the whole thing. So I could not continue any furthur.

In case if you did not know, Fisher and Western are our proud sponsors of Plowsite! ;)

    Good luck! :)

Thanks for you input also wxmn6, I'm new to the plowing business and you are right in my area we don't get as much powder as you all but here lately I could have made a small fortune with a plow. When we get it (snow) things come to a complete stop, schools, business's and everybody is in a panic to get out and they are more than willing to pay.
