These lightbars are bright. They are Class 1 led lights (highest rating). There are (8) Linear led light heads inside the bar. Linear led's offer greater off-axis lighting - So, their spread of light is greater than traditional led heads. The magnet mount version has (4) "floating" magnets on the bottom, which will help if your roof is un-even. I thought the magnets would be less than adequate upon first visual inspection, but the are actually very powerful. The cigarette plug has 2 switches, one for Power and the other to change the flash patterns. They come with 10 flash patterns and a standard (from Hella)
    3 year warranty.
    -Hope this helps..

I don't have any experience with their mini-bar, but a ton of experience with their off road lighting. In a nutshell, Hella makes top notch stuff. They also charge pretty decently for it, but like many things, you get what you pay for. If the mini bar is anywhere near as good as their other stuff, it will be rugged, bright and last forever.
