My daytime running lights and auto headlight on/off has started to work intermitably.I had no lights the other night, switched to the top headlight position and they worked.Sometimes when I check them out ther're working for a whil and sometimes not. Problem with or without plow lights on.Switch?,is there a body control module? I hate electrical problems. Will this problem show up on a dealers advanced tech 2 or whatever they use?

My first suspect would be the light sensor on the dash. Dirty, not seated correctly, or defective.
