Does anyone know the headlamp type for a '86 or '87 chevy?

all depends on the trim package on the truck, there were about 3 different types of bulbs used. 2b/2d was the most common but your best bet is to take a good look at the front of the bulb, it usually says what bulb you have along the top. Otherwise, if you can tell us how many bulbs on each side and what shape, approx size and if they are side by side or over under we can figure it out.

    Sure! They are glass ones!
    :p

Single headlights are the larger rectangle, the duals are smaller. These are the sealed beam type, not the replacable halogen insert type. They came around in the '89-91 'Burban nose for our body style, and '88 for the 'newer' c/k's. I don't know the numbers, just walk into any parts store and they can get them for you. They will have a book.
